Give each paraprofessional, instructional aide, or behavior technician their own self-paced 40-hour RBT course. Staff study around the school day, and your district can see who is progressing toward completion.
There are no live classes. Staff study on their own schedule, in short sessions between duties or over breaks. Each person’s 180-day completion window starts when they begin training, not when you buy, so you can purchase seats ahead of PD days or summer. Training takes at least 5 calendar days.
One seat per staff member.
Assign each seat by email, whenever you know who will use it. If someone leaves before 10 credited training hours and hasn’t completed the course, you can reassign their seat once at no charge. The new learner starts from the beginning.
Progress your district can see.
Your dashboard shows credited hours, lessons completed, completion dates, certificate status, and an exam-readiness estimate for each staff member. Individual answers stay private.
Built for special education teams.
Competency assessment with your BCBA.
After the course, each staff member completes the Initial Competency Assessment with your district’s BCBA or another qualified assessor. A printable prep sheet shows each person’s weaker areas, so the assessor can plan the observation.
No student information.
Course activities use fictional cases. Staff are asked not to enter identifiable student or client information anywhere in the course.
Billing tools stay optional.
The dashboard can project billable dates for clinics that bill insurance. Leave the bill rate blank and those figures stay hidden, so your view focuses on training progress.
Plan your seats. Pay once.
Every organization gets the same course and the same per-seat prices. Your price band counts every seat you’ve purchased, and once you reach a band, later orders keep it.
Pay by card through secure checkout, or request an invoice due in 30 days (with your PO number, if you use one).
Seats are assigned after payment, whenever you know who will use them.
Each seat includes 30 days of Practice exam prep after the staff member completes the course.
Pay by card, or request an invoice due in 30 days. If you use purchase orders, add your PO number and we’ll print it on the invoice. Seats become available when the invoice is paid. Need a W-9? Contact us and we’ll send one.
Course completion is one step toward RBT certification. The Initial Competency Assessment, BACB application, and exam are separate.
Questions from schools.
Who can take the course?
Anyone your district wants to train toward the RBT credential, such as paraprofessionals, instructional aides, and behavior technicians. The BACB sets the other requirements for RBT certification, including eligibility, the competency assessment, and the exam.
Can we buy seats before the school year or PD days?
Yes. Unassigned seats stay in your seat manager until you assign them, and each staff member’s 180-day window starts only when they begin training.
Can we pay with a purchase order?
Yes. Choose “Request an invoice” when you order seats. We send you an invoice (with our invoice number). If your district uses purchase orders, add your PO number and we’ll print it on the invoice. We email the invoice to your billing contact. It’s due within 30 days (Net 30), and your billing team can pay online by card or the other methods shown on the invoice. Seats become available in your seat manager as soon as the invoice is paid. Need a W-9? Contact us and we’ll send one.
The seat manager shows assignments, credited hours, lesson progress, completion dates, and certificate status, plus each staff member’s exam-readiness estimate, scores by content area (and by task on the competency-assessment prep sheet), weekly activity, and certification steps. Individual answers, question text, and detailed learning records stay private. Staff can download and share their own certificates.
Do staff enter any student information?
No. Course activities use fictional cases, and staff are asked not to enter identifiable student or client information.
Who conducts the competency assessment?
A BCBA or other qualified assessor, such as your district’s BCBA, conducts and scores it using the BACB’s current requirements. Meridian’s prep sheet helps the assessor decide what to observe first.
Are seats refundable?
No. Seat purchases are final and nonrefundable, including unused or unassigned seats. If a staff member leaves before 10 credited training hours and hasn’t completed the course, you can release their seat once and assign it to someone new. We’ll correct duplicate charges or billing errors.
Does this include exam preparation?
Yes. Each seat includes 30 days of the Practice plan, starting when the staff member completes the course. This included access does not renew automatically.
