Course purchase and completion terms

These terms apply to the Meridian 40-hour RBT training course, whether you buy it yourself or receive an employer team seat. They supplement the Terms of Service.
What the purchase includes
The one-time $71.10 USD purchase provides one personal enrollment in Meridian’s English-language, self-paced 40-hour RBT training course. It also includes 30 days of Meridian Practice exam prep, starting when you complete the course and receive your training certificate. Included Practice has the Practice plan allowances (50 practice questions per day and four practice tests for the 30-day period, including 85-question full-length tests), does not renew automatically, and ends if the course payment is refunded or reversed. Any applicable tax is disclosed before payment. The Initial Competency Assessment, BACB application and examination fees, and certification are separate.
If your employer assigned you a team seat, the seat provides the same course and included Practice, and the team seat terms also apply. If your employer releases your seat, your access to the course ends and your records are kept. You can then enroll on your own or accept a new seat; a new enrollment starts from the beginning with a new 180-day window.
Who may enroll
This course is offered to adults aged 18 or older located in the United States. Your training record and certificate use your own legal name and BACB ID. Account sharing and completion by another person are not permitted.
Completion
Complete every required lesson, eight section checkpoints, two integrated assessments, and at least 40 credited training hours including section minimums. To pass an assessment, you need at least 80% and no missed critical questions (key safety and ethics items you must get right). Your training must span at least 5 calendar days (counted in UTC, including the first and last day) and finish within 180 days. Your 180-day window starts when you confirm your details and begin training, not when you pay. Your dashboard shows the training time that counts toward completion.
If you don’t finish within 180 days after you start, your access to the course ends. Your records are kept. To train again, you can enroll again at the current price; a new enrollment starts from the beginning with a new 180-day window.
Training and certification are different
A training certificate documents the course requirement only. It does not establish that you meet every BACB eligibility requirement, have passed the Initial Competency Assessment or examination, or are certified. Current BACB requirements govern certification.
Your certificate
If you complete the course, your certificate stays available in your account; sign in any time to view or download it. The training certificate does not expire.
Refunds
The course is a one-time purchase with no recurring charge. Course purchases are final and nonrefundable once checkout is complete, including if you don’t start or don’t finish the course, except where applicable law requires a refund. If you were charged twice or charged in error, contact us and we’ll correct it. If a course payment is refunded or reversed, course access and any included Practice end, and your training records stay on file. Employer seat orders follow the team seat terms. Records and support
Meridian retains training records, including partial completion, for at least seven years. Records include identity, course and content versions, engagement, assessment responses, and certificate history. Use fictional examples in course activities; do not submit identifiable client information. See the Privacy Notice for how we handle data.
